The last thing we need now is a 7th AAA team. Last I heard that there was a pause on additional AAA teams until 2027. We will see what happens. Hopefully, one of the AAA teams gives up their charter so we don't water down AAA or AA any further. There just aren't enough players to go around at the moment.

They need to institute relegation like in Futbol. That would take care of clubs like TI and Storm real quick.

Calling all purple teams nationwide. Facebook Market place for 1 year old purple buckets and gloves is about to be saturated in March.

I imagine that is what this new league USA Hockey is going to run will do. Top players will all gravitate to those teams regardless of geography. Then you’ll get the next rung down of quality programs who are just on the outside looking in. After that, there may be another set of teams and then finally the Sunday pub teams filling out the rosters with parents willing to pay top dollar for the lowest level AAA team, so they can say their kid plays AAA.

What they should do, is be forced to not play each other. If the team is second tier, they only play second tier AAA teams. That’s how football is ran in England.

That is going to be a mess. The DL is going to bring in more kids from out of town. It’s actually going to help the other clubs lean into local talent and be more relevant.
