Looking forward to this season as a whole. Checking and puberty completely changes the game. I think using the last few seasons to predict this season's outcome would be a mistake. I expect a few teams will be a lot more physical than others and will sneak a few more wins out that way.
"championship" that tournament was a joke
Blues…..will be ok. As mentioned above , gotta shake the rust off. Lots of new blood that needs to gel. Sabres and Express good out of the gate so far.
First season checking, should be a good one! I think this is where Wilmette starts to fall down the rankings, too many tiny kids over there.
Hawks improved their roster maxing out imports this year. They should be a decent mid pack team.
Ice Dogs looked pretty good

Agreed - I think the sting caught the vipers by surprise last weekend with how physical they played. The opposing parents were not happy and took their players a little time to realize how the games were going to go.
Valid point. but. Are the Vipers parents ever happy?
Exactly. We all are vested enough to have found this forum. I agree with the post saying we are 10% in. To call out anyone as a favorite this early at first year checking is premature. I’d give it until Halloween to start seeing who’s for real.
blues lost everybody to aaa except goalie went to sabres
Slow weekend for the 2013’s. Sabres still rolling along. Express giving it go. Some STL teams up top. Rest are a mixed bag.
Express and it’s not even close
Until the Blues actually don't win, I'll say the Blues - they just reload every year
Goalie went to Sabres, big shoes to fill in the net
Ice Dogs, Sabres, Express will be pretty good this season
sabres lost quite a few kids to AAA, including the big kid, scoring might be an issue
looks like Express, Sabres , and Leafs Prospects 12/13s are at Howies this weekend and Blues are up in Detroit this weekend. Anyone else playing?
Sabres beat Express in championship
I love the use of common sense on this board! Great call above!
Sabres early favorites?
didn't they just lose to Blues

Yep. 3-2 in OT.
Less than 10% of games have been played for each team, don't think there is any room for a "favorite" yet. St. Louis teams seem pretty solid this year, some good results against what were the top teams in years past. Several teams have already gone 1-1 against each other early, lots of parity, and boys still figuring out how to play bantam hockey. Maybe Sabres become the favorites, but let's pump the brakes on any talk until everyone has mostly played each other at least once.
Sabres lost to Blues yes, but keep in mind was a scrimmage, with 13 minute clocks for some reason. And good reality check for Sabres team who up to that point was 9-0. They then went and won 6-0 the next morning, so looks like a good response by them
sabres dad seems butt hurt about losing to blues...again
Sabre dads love getting butt hurt over charity games.
Aside from a couple early outliers on either end of the spectrum, looks like some decent parity out of the gates.
