Ref Fees

This is my kids second year. He's now a squirt.

Can someone explain to me how the refs get paid? I asked our manager and she did not want to discuss it.

Is there a fee schedule for all the age and skill levels?

Is it true that IHOA gets a fee for every game assigned on top of what the ref is paid?

Does the manager know what they are paying per game for a ref or is it the club?

For example, does a squirt red pay as much as a squirt white?

If the ref is making $50 for the game, how much does the manager pay IHOA or who ever pays the ref?

Why does it matter how much refs get paid? It hasn’t even crossed my mind except how I can’t wait for my kid to start at 12.

Just legit curious why someone would care so much to hound the team mgr

Fees aren’t going down they only go up

If perhaps you’re worried about the slush fund, request a budget sheet. any mgr who isn’t willing to share that is hiding something

IHOA or ref assignor bills the club, and yes they add a fee for their service

club pays IHOA

IHOA pays refs, usually monthly

Doubt the manager has the ref fee schedule. Different based on age and skill level but mostly in line with game duration (eg games with 14 min periods pay more than games with 13 min periods)

Squirt games refs get around $40. House is all the same rate regardless of level. Prospects is a couple bucks more all the same rate regardless of level. Birth year CS is a couple bucks more. AAA is a couple bucks more.

Squirt prospects is paying $55 this year, not $40. Squirt birth year is $60

Ok. My question is if the ref is getting $40 for the squirt game, How much money is the Assignor/IHOA "billing" the club? is it $45? $42? what is the assignor 's cut?

Used to be $11 per game but that was when AHAI was assigning. New system/assigners now, don’t know their cut

MCHO is now managing the refs and their scheduling. They're actually doing a good job. IHOA is still around but not sure what their role is. I think membership/training of refs??
